Canada, Critters, and J.R. Ewing?

Ha! Ha!  I was trying to think of a catchy title and really I could only sum up this session with what stood out to me the most.   I will take them one by one....First, Canada.   This gorgeous family is from Canada and I am lucky enough to have Stephanie as my makeup artist/hairstylist-if you are one of the lucky clients to hire her she will join us and travel on the shoot to make sure you never have a fly- away hair or even worse a shine on your face that is not from your natural glow! She is Ahhhmazing!!   Now on we go...

Back to Canada-since they hail all the way from a Canada, they really wanted to show off their love for Texas with a little bit of sophisticated country flair.   When I spoke with Stephanie about locations, it became crystal clear that George Bush Park was the spot for their photoshoot.  Both Stephanie and her husband love to take their dogs running through the park...it's kind of a little escape from their hectic schedules.    It has special memories!!!  So if you know me as a photographer, you know that is my favorite thing to do...capture you where memories happen!   Next up....Critters and J.R. Ewing...
Hmmm...I will keep it simple.   The critters, Gretzky and Dixie kept me on my toes.   As much as these images display the perfectly posed dogs, it was not without a lot of work.  ha! ha!   I have a little something special I do....that you would really have to see in action to fully appreciate...Gretzky tackled me only once.   It was the so sweet to have him run over and help me take a few shots! lol. Dixie was camera shy at the end and loved showing me her backside...but by clicking continuously at the end of the day...we got some fun family shots where memories are made.   I will save the best for last....J.R. Ewing!  I swear...Chris  makes me think of him when I look at this top image!  Ha!!  I think I will forever call Chris and Stephanie, "J.R."  and "Sue Ellen".     Thanks for letting me ramble about one of my most fun sessions....Enjoy the view, I think they are an awesome family...xoxo  Nikki
