I am going to keep this blog short and sweet; honestly the pictures do all of the talking. You may remember Robert and Aimee from the vintage airplane shoot....so of course it goes without saying that their wedding would include a vintage flair. Their wedding took place at the Lonestar Flight Museum in Galveston, Texas and will go down in history as one of the most unique weddings I have ever participated in. The amount of detail and significance in each table, bouquet, or piece of clothing had a story.
The day was unpredictable, but just like anything else this couple faces, they rolled with it and the wedding was a success. We were met with a stormy day along the gulf and a motorcycle rally...so the two combined could have caused a frenzy, but the day was still perfect. When a rainbow appeared while Aimee was getting dressed, everyone took it as a sign that everything was going to be just fine...and that it was.
In order to understand some of the images below, you must know that one of the biggest hightlights of the evening occurred when the bride presented the groom with his own sommelier sword. Since Robert is a sommelier, it led to an extra special moment for the two lovebirds and the rest of the crowd! The captive moment of him using the sword to pop the champagne cork was so significant and yet still had an element of danger for this photographer; however...we got the shot!
Congratulations to Aimee and Robert! I am so glad that I was able to capture your day.
A special thanks to Verneal Moran and Erica Edwards for fantastic hair and makeup and also Neha Patel for your mad photography skills and helping with this wedding! You rock!
